Z.A. Islamia PG College was founded in the year 1971 and the college was initially affiliated to Bihar University. Later, the college came under the jurisdiction of Jai Prakash University located at Chapra and the college is approved by the University Grants Commission under sec 12B and 2f.

Eligibility for Admission:
For the intermediate courses offered by the college, candidates must have completed their 10th or matriculation examination. For the technical course offered by Z.A. Islamia P.G. College candidates must have completed their 10+2 examination. As far as degree courses are concerned, candidates who have completed their 10+2 with not less than 45% of marks are eligible for admission and for UG courses, candidates must have completed their graduation in appropriate disciplines.
The college is offering education through well-educated faculty members and the laboratories functioning in the college are provided with appropriate equipment. The other special features of the college are that the college has well-decorated computer laboratory with Internet facilities, playground and facility to play different indoor and outdoor games.
